Zoo Time!!

We had to nix our trip to the zoo last Monday, but we finally made it on Saturday :)

We got up bright and early and made it down right when it opened. It was actually quite cold; the whole time we were there, it was in the low 40's. But it never felt too cold since we were walking around the whole time. The awesome thing was that there were hardly and other people there. Even when we left, the parking lot was practically empty :)

The zoo was decorated really cute for Halloween

Jeep ride

We always stay forever at the Giraffes. They're so beautiful!

And we loved watching him do the splits to take a drink :)

We went to the lion feeding, which usually is packed during the Summer, and there was only one other family there!

We rode the monorail around the back part of the zoo. It got a little chilly sitting on the train for a while

peekaboo!!

Several visits ago, Bryson fell in love with the camels. He wanted to ride one SO SOO badly, but I really wanted Michael to be there for that. Since Michael was actually able to go on Saturday and there was no line, it was the perfect time!!

Bryson was fascinated with it! A first for Michael and Bryson!

It's amazing how huge those things really are. I guess I never really thought about it before, but the guy said that they were easily over 11 feet in the air while they were on his back. That's crazy!

We had such a fun time at the zoo! Before we left, we had to stop at the little pumpkin patch for a picture and Bryson was hamming it up big time!!

He fell asleep quickly after we got in the car and even looked like a goose ;)

  1. How fun to have the whole place to yourself! The pics of B with the pumpkins are so cute - what a ham. :-)
