Hiccups!!

Bryson had the hiccups tonight! I've felt them several times before, but Michael got to feel them tonight!

Just thought I'd share :)

32 Weeks

I am 32 weeks along as of  yesterday, which also marks the beginning of my 8th month! Wow!
Bryson and I at 32 Weeks :)

I had my 32 week check up yesterday and everything still looks good! I scheduled an induction for the day after his due date (December 22) just in case he hasn't made his appearance yet. My stomach dropped when she asked me what day I wanted to be induced!!! I can't believe we have to make that decision already! Bryson is still in the correct position and the doctor said there isn't a huge chance that he'll flip around anymore because there is very little room in my belly for him. I'm measuring a little small again, but she said there's nothing to worry about, so that's good to hear.  He's about 3.75lbs and a little over 16 inches. He weighs about as much as a large jicama according to BabyCenter.com

I am pretty much a champion worrier. I worry about everything under the sun. Being pregnant has not helped the situation! I prayed constantly during my first trimester for the Lord to keep me from worrying about Bryson. He showed me daily that HE was in control and that He was perfectly creating Bryson inside me. He is so faithful and so amazing because I have worried about Bryson very little during this whole pregnancy. Instead, I have been able to focus on all of the wonderful things that are happening to me, Bryson, and our family. I have truly enjoyed and LOVED every second of this pregnancy. Now that his due date is quickly approaching, I am starting to get really anxious about when he will come. It's so funny, I haven't really thought about the actual process of giving birth at all, just when he is going to be born. I know those are usually visa versa, but I guess I'm weird :) The other thing that I constantly think about is how long I'll be able to nurse him. (Yeah, I know...another strange thing.) I want to be able to nurse as long as I possibly can, but I'm worried that I'll have to stop when I go back to work when he's about 3 months old. And again, I know the Lord will allow me to for as long as Bryson needs it. :)

We start our birthing classes next Thursday and I can't wait!!!

Oh my goodness, everything is going by so fast!! :)

Out with the old. In with the NEW!

Michael and I have been talking about getting a new "family" car for a few months now, and on Saturday, we bit the bullett and bought one! We knew exactly which car we wanted and have been looking at them pretty regularly. It was SO exciting looking and test driving the cars. We found the car that had all of our "must-haves" and more! What do ya think!?

I was so preoccupied with the excitement of the new car and signing papers that I hadn't really thought about the fact I had to get rid of my CR-V. I have loved loved LOVED that car so much.

We have so many memories in that car: going off to college, countless road trips, moving into our new house, and many more. We walked out of the dealership office to get all of the stuff out of the car to put into the Pilot and as soon as I saw my car, it hit me. It's not my car anymore. I just stared at my car sobbing in the parking lot. I'm sure if anyone saw me they thought I was a total dork! But Michael quickly reminded me that it is sad  to let go of something with so many memories, but told me to just think about all the amazing new memories that we're going to make in the Pilot. It will be the car that Bryson takes his first car ride home from the hospital in, the car that we take all of our family road trips in and so many other "firsts" for our new family. Michael knows exactly how to cheer me up--ALWAYS! That was exactly what I needed to hear!! We're truly moving on to a new chapter of our lives and I am so excited about it!

I can't wait to strap his car seat into the back seat!! I seriously thought about putting it in on Sunday (the day after we got the car) but decided I should proably wait a few more weeks :) heheh

POP Goes The...

Weasel   BELLY BUTTON! My sister, Stephanie, noticed that my belly button "popped" shortly after my baby shower last weekend. It's not terribly noticable, but you can still kind of see it through a t-shirt. Just one more thing to make me feel like Bryson is almost here!!

Michael and I were watching Bryson move inside my belly the other night. Michael would push on one side of my belly and Bryson would kick directly on my belly button. He pushed my belly button out at least half an inch each time he kicked.

It was SO funny to watch! I wish I could have caught it on video:)

Practice Makes Perfect!

I can't wait to see him hold Bryson like this.
It melts my heart just thinking of it!

Grand Opening

The new Corporate Building for Independent Bank opened on Thursday and we got to attend the swanky party. It was fun meeting lots of the people that Michael spends so much of his time with at work.

It was also fun dressing up and going out with my handsome hubby for the night :)

31 Weeks!!

As the weeks fly by, I'm getting more and more anxious to meet Bryson. I can't wait to see what he looks like. I can't wait to hold him and kiss his little face. I can't wait to see Michael hold him for the first time. I just can't wait for him to be here!!!

I can't believe I pretty much have 9 weeks left of pregnancy...or less! I feel like my belly can't possibly get any bigger, so it's going to be interesting to see how much more I grow.
31 weeks

Bryson is moving SO much. He's always been a wiggle worm, but now he's getting a lot stronger and his kicks are actually starting to hurt a little. At pretty much any time of the day you can see him flopping around inside my belly. It's so fun! Sunday, after my shower, Michael and I were carrying some gifts into the house and I had my first Braxton-Hicks contraction. It was crazy! I got a little tiny itty bitty taste of what labor contactions are going to be like. :)

Right now, Bryson is around 15 inches and about 3.3 lbs. I got back to the doctor next Monday and I really hope they'll be able to tell Bryson's position. I feel kicks and jabs pretty much all over, so maybe he hasn't picked a position to stick with yet. :) We also signed up for a birthing class this week. We don't start until November 5, but I'm excited!

So, last night, I had a crazy dream! I had a dream that my water broke and I went into labor. I didn't want to have him 9 weeks early, so I put on like 5 pairs of pants so he wouldn't come out. Michael figured out what I was doing and that I was in labor and freaked out. He packed our bags for us really quickly so we could get to the hospital. I was unpacking the bag and he had onlypacked us swim suits and running clothes! HAHA!
I love pregnancy dreams--very crazy! :)

Showered with Love

I had my first baby shower this past weekend! It was such a sweet and special time to celebrate with family and friends! Bryson is one blessed little boy. He has so many people that love him like crazy already!!

Rhonda, Debbie and Charlotte did an amazing job with the shower. It was so fun and so special. Thank you so much for everything :)

The family

The moms :)

Sisters!

Sweet friends

Some of the presents for Bryson :)

Opening presents!! It was like Christmas!!

All the presents for Bryson! (Minus the stroller and cradle) It was so exciting and emotional thinking that our sweet little boy was going to be using all of these things very shortly.

Michael and I went to town putting things together, organizing, an finding places for everything. I did a huge load of his laundry, so now, if he decides to come early, he will at least have clothes, bibs, towels, blankets and sheets ready and waiting for him. :)

Thank you to everyone who was there to help celebrate our little miracle with us! We love and appreciate you more than you know!!

OOPS!

Michael went to College Station last weekend and came back with the Swine Flu :(  Since I'm alergic to the flu shot, and can't take a chance of getting sick while being pregnant, Orion and I got to go stay with my parents for a few days. Once he stopped running a temperature and wasn't contagious anymore, I finally got to come home. I went crazy trying to sanitize and wash everything he possibly could have touched--the bed, toilet, sink, fridge, oven, door handles, etc. I threw his clothes and the sheets into the washer really quickly.

When I went to put them in the dryer, I realized I should have been more careful about what I threw in there!

OOPS!
Don't worry, we changed the batteries and it still works :)
Plus it's very clean now!!

Secret Puppy Lover

My Dad has never been known to be a puppy lover. He's actually very indifferent about animals at all (except deer-he does love deer!)

I don't know if he's had a change of heart or just getting ready to have a grandson, but he and Orion have become BFF's!!

I think it's precious!
He is very ready for Bryson to be here! :)
