Grand Opening

The new Corporate Building for Independent Bank opened on Thursday and we got to attend the swanky party. It was fun meeting lots of the people that Michael spends so much of his time with at work.

It was also fun dressing up and going out with my handsome hubby for the night :)

31 Weeks!!

As the weeks fly by, I'm getting more and more anxious to meet Bryson. I can't wait to see what he looks like. I can't wait to hold him and kiss his little face. I can't wait to see Michael hold him for the first time. I just can't wait for him to be here!!!

I can't believe I pretty much have 9 weeks left of pregnancy...or less! I feel like my belly can't possibly get any bigger, so it's going to be interesting to see how much more I grow.

31 weeks

Bryson is moving SO much. He's always been a wiggle worm, but now he's getting a lot stronger and his kicks are actually starting to hurt a little. At pretty much any time of the day you can see him flopping around inside my belly. It's so fun! Sunday, after my shower, Michael and I were carrying some gifts into the house and I had my first Braxton-Hicks contraction. It was crazy! I got a little tiny itty bitty taste of what labor contactions are going to be like. :)

Right now, Bryson is around 15 inches and about 3.3 lbs. I got back to the doctor next Monday and I really hope they'll be able to tell Bryson's position. I feel kicks and jabs pretty much all over, so maybe he hasn't picked a position to stick with yet. :) We also signed up for a birthing class this week. We don't start until November 5, but I'm excited!

So, last night, I had a crazy dream! I had a dream that my water broke and I went into labor. I didn't want to have him 9 weeks early, so I put on like 5 pairs of pants so he wouldn't come out. Michael figured out what I was doing and that I was in labor and freaked out. He packed our bags for us really quickly so we could get to the hospital. I was unpacking the bag and he had onlypacked us swim suits and running clothes! HAHA!

I love pregnancy dreams--very crazy! :)

Showered with Love

I had my first baby shower this past weekend! It was such a sweet and special time to celebrate with family and friends! Bryson is one blessed little boy. He has so many people that love him like crazy already!!

Rhonda, Debbie and Charlotte did an amazing job with the shower. It was so fun and so special. Thank you so much for everything :)

Opening presents!! It was like Christmas!!

All the presents for Bryson! (Minus the stroller and cradle) It was so exciting and emotional thinking that our sweet little boy was going to be using all of these things very shortly.

Michael and I went to town putting things together, organizing, an finding places for everything. I did a huge load of his laundry, so now, if he decides to come early, he will at least have clothes, bibs, towels, blankets and sheets ready and waiting for him. :)

Thank you to everyone who was there to help celebrate our little miracle with us! We love and appreciate you more than you know!!

OOPS!

Michael went to College Station last weekend and came back with the Swine Flu :(  Since I'm alergic to the flu shot, and can't take a chance of getting sick while being pregnant, Orion and I got to go stay with my parents for a few days. Once he stopped running a temperature and wasn't contagious anymore, I finally got to come home. I went crazy trying to sanitize and wash everything he possibly could have touched--the bed, toilet, sink, fridge, oven, door handles, etc. I threw his clothes and the sheets into the washer really quickly.

When I went to put them in the dryer, I realized I should have been more careful about what I threw in there!

OOPS!

Don't worry, we changed the batteries and it still works :) 

Plus it's very clean now!!

Secret Puppy Lover

 My Dad has never been known to be a puppy lover. He's actually very indifferent about animals at all (except deer-he does love deer!)

I don't know if he's had a change of heart or just getting ready to have a grandson, but he and Orion have become BFF's!!

I think it's precious!

He is very ready for Bryson to be here! :)

Babies Babies Everywhere!!

This is certainly the week for babies!! (Not mine though!)

Dana, a friend from church had baby Charlie on Saturday

Melissa, another sweet friend from church had baby Andrew this morning (5 weeks early)

Cathlina, another friend from church had baby Samuel a few days ago.

Haley, a friend from work is being induced tomorow morning!!

I am so excited for all my sweet friends and their new families. I am, however, slightly jealous that they get to meet their babies right now and I have to wait 9 more weeks. But I know he'll be here before we know it.

With Melissa having her baby so early, I realized that there is possibility that same thing could happen to us and it honestly freaked me out just a tad. It's not that I don't want Bryson to be here, because I do--SO BADLY!! We just have a LOT to do before he makes his arrival. Looks like we will be sterilizing, washing and packing....just in case! :)

30 Weeks!!

What!? Already?? Oh, I forgot to post last week? Yeah, time is flying by so quickly, I completely missed last week. Oops!

I had my 30 week check up today and everything is still going wonderfully. I passed my glucose test "with flying colors" and am still measuring right on target. Bryson is actually in the right position as of now, but it's still pretty early, so we're hoping he decides not keep flipping around in my belly. I'm feeling awesome still! I have been beyond blessed with this pregnancy. In fact, my doctor even mentioned today that I have had such a "by the book" pregnancy that they should study it for research for future pregnant girls. HA! We realized that we probably jinxed the rest of my pregnancy by talking about it. Hopefully not though! :)

Me at 30 weeks!

My belly is getting so big that iits barely fitting inside my t-shirts, as you can tell from the picture. I've had to raid Michael's closet several times to get some of his Medium t-shirts! (Thanks baby!)  :)

This past weekend, Michael was in College Station for the A&M game. I pretty much had an "all baby" weekend. I went to a sweet friend's baby shower Saturday, another friend had her little baby boy Saturday morning, I had a lot of time to work on B's baby book, and I made a Blessing Ring for Bryson.

 I saw the Blessing Rings on another blog a while back and thought it was such a sweet idea. (But, of course, I had to make my own :) ) You punch a hole in the corner of the card, picture, paper, etc and then string it on the ribbons. That way you don't have to keep all the cards stuffed in a drawer and you can be reminded of all the wonderful people that are praying for and thinking about your new little miracle.

I'm so excited about this coming weekend!! I have my first shower this weekend! We also have some friends flying in and will be staying with us for the weekend and I am SO excited to see them!! It's just going to be a wonderful time of celebrating and I CAN'T WAIT!!! :)

Charlie The Horse....

...visited me again last night. It was a thousand times worse than the first one and lasted a lot longer. I felt like crying!! I'm thinking the first one was just a cramp, not a full on charlie horse. I just hope he doesn't make any more visits...they hurt!!!

I guess I should get some bananas at the grocery store tomorrow :)

Not So Terrible Two's

Our little puppy is two years old today!

We love him like crazy and love the excitement he adds to everyday life. He has so much personality and we're pretty convinced that he can understand most things we say to him. :)

He got a few new toys for his birthday. I loved the little giraffe, but he's not so sure about it. He does however like the squirrel a lot though...maybe because it squeeks :)

Michael and I sure do love Orion and we can't wait to see how he acts with Bryson in a couple months! We've had several pep talks with him about Bryson coming and being nice to him, and since he understands everything we say (ha!) I'm sure he'll be a little angel. Time will tell...
