Saturday Lunch

Michael's family came up to meet us for lunch at El Fenix today.

We loved seeing them and Bryson had so much fun being loved on :)

Fortunately, we get to see them all again at the family reunion next weekend :)

Swing, Swing, Swing

Bryson looooves the park and loves the swing!

He's an adrenaline junky. He loves to go fast and have his hair flow in the breeze.

And boy does his hair flow!

If it wasn't so hot, we would have stayed all day!

Lunch With Daddy

Michael works close enough to the house that he always comes home for lunch to see us (which I LOVE!) but it's also fun to meet him at a restaurant. We met Daddy at Mamma Emilia's in Downtown McKinney. Niether of us had been before, and oh my goodness, it was amazing! The bread alone is reason enough to go.

Bryson loved hanging out with Daddy!!

Un Oh...

We're in trouble!

Bryson has learned a plethora of new things lately and I've realized it's time to start baby-proofing the house!!

This past weekend Bryson learned how to sit up by himself. I put him down in his crib and went in to check on him a little while later and he was sitting up! I did a double take and then ran to get Michael! At the speed I was running and the high pitch-ness of my voice, I'm sure Michael thought I was absolutely crazy!! Now that he knows how to sit up, he does it literally 100 times a day. Yesterday, he crawled over to his toy bin, sat himself up, realized he was too far away to reach anything, layed down, crawled closer and then got out a book. Smart kid!! :)

He also has started crawling. Not "I'm going to go and chase the dog all over the house" crawling, but slow paced, thought out movement. Still, his hands and knees are moving in rhythm and he can go about a foot or two until he splats on his belly and then has to push himself back up and start over. Crawling is crawling, right!? Oh man, he's getting so old!!

Yeah, I'm not really sure, but I think B is trying to do some yoga! Ha! He gets in "downward dog" all the time and it cracks me up!

He's also pulled himself up on his knees several times :)

All that to say, I got nervous that he might try to do his new tricks in his crib, so today I decided it was time to lower it down to the next level.

At one point I looked over and Bryson had learned how to open his dresser drawers! The knobs are really big (like his puzzle handles) so they were easy to hold. He opened and shut it several times and pulled all of his swim suits out.

My goodness, kid, slow down.

He is such a (cute) little booger!!

Lunch Dates

Bryson and I met Mama Mel at work this afternoon for lunch.

It was so much fun getting to see her during the week! :)

We had a great lunch at the Crowne Plaza with a few of her co workers.
Bryson loved shoving her fingers in his mouth :)
Love you!

A couple weeks ago, Bryson and I met Alicia for lunch at On The Border. We had fun chatting and Bryson had fun playing with his kid's menu. Ok, maybe he didn't play with it at all, but I thought it was cute the waiter thought he needed a menu :)

(I swear that's not the only outfit he has. Apparently the days that he does wear it are high volume picture days! HAHA!)

The 4th

Happy 4th {and 7th} of July!!

We went to my parent's lake house for the weekend with most of my mom's family and had a BLAST!! I always look forward to seeing all of our family. :) We had a weekend full of swimming, wakeboarding, eating tons of food, catching up on life, fishing and loving on Bryson.

Bryson was absolutely fascinated with John. Couldn't stop looking at him :)
Daddy was on baby duty while the girls were laying out on the dock. Keeping the monitor on his ear while napping was the only way to make sure he'd wake up :)
He loved John!!
LOVE this sweet picture!!
The guys spent 2 hours doing fireworks. They were so much fun to watch!!

Bryson went on the boat for the first time. It was right around nap time, so he cried for a couple minutes and then zonked out for the rest of the ride. :)

Bryson loved playing with the grass!

I really really wish we all lived closer. I love my family and can't wait to see them all again!!! Happy 4th of July!!

6 Month Stats

It's been confirmed again that Mr. B is a healthy, {quickly} growing boy!

Length: 28.5 inches {97%}
Weight: 16 lbs  {25-50%}
Head: 17.25 {50%}

Daddy met us at the appointment like usual and kept him entertained while we waited for the doctor.

Bryson is wonderful and growing great. Looks like he's going to be one tall basketbal player ;)

We had a little pow wow with the doc about Bryson's "little" gas problem. It's gotten so much worse over the past month and we did nothing short of beg him for something to help his little belly.

He's extremely fussy right at bed time and it takes an hour or two to put him to bed every night. I walk around with him trying to get him to burp and toot and burp some more while he is crying his little eyes out. It breaks my heart. I know he feels like his tummy is about to explode :(

Anyway, his doctor thought it could be a case of "silent reflux." Bryson hasn't spit up since he was 1 month old {until this weekend} but there's a chance his tummy is geting upset and instead of it coming all the way up, it goes back down to further upset his tummy.
SO, we got some medicine and have our fingers crossed it will do the trick!

But, he's just the best baby in the whole wide world :)
