Our sweet little boy is 3 months old!
He is getting more and more fun every day! His personality is really starting to show and I love it :) He just smiles all day!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but we celebrated his 3 month birthday, the second day of Spring, with the heater on, snow on the ground and our pjs on all day long! We got over EIGHT inches of snow!! CRAZY!!
Bryson is becoming a pro at rolling over.
(The blanket he's laying on is Michael's from when he was a baby. His Granny made it for him and now Bryson gets to use it. How special!)
and his arm gets stuck in the way. Once he figures out what to do with his arm, he'll be good!! I've also found him in his crib like that a few times in the middle of the night...
I can't wait to go to the doctor next month just to find out his stats. He is growing so much everyday. People can't believe he's only 3 months old; he looks so much bigger (I think it has something to do with his full head of hair, too)!
So, at 3 months:
He's in size 1-2 diapers
Wearing 3-6 month clothes--he can still wear 0-3 month seperates, but he is so stinkin' long that the onsies don't fit him
Is "talking" a lot! He babbles pretty much the whole time between eating and nap time
He loves to stand up! He smiles and "talks" so much while standing
He chews and sucks on his hand all day long! He's also starting to drool quite a bit
He likes reading books and looking at the pictures
He's getting better about sleeping at night. He goes to bed around 7:30 and almost always wakes up at 1:30 really upset. We change his diaper, calm him down and it takes him a little while to get back to sleep. We're not really sure why he does this...any ideas?? Then he wakes up again around 4 or 5 to eat and goes back to sleep. He did, however, sleep 10 straight hours a few nights ago!!! YAY!!
3 months also means that Mommy had to go back to work. I have dreaded this day since before he was born. It was so hard and so emotional for me. Thank you to everyone who was praying for my first day back and sent me encouraging messages and emails, they meant SO much to me!
I have loved staying home with Bryson and being with him all day; being able to feed him, play with him, read books, sing silly songs, and hold him and kiss him to my hearts content. We are so blessed that my mom is watching Bryson until I get off for the Summer. I know without a doubt that he is in good hands and will be loved on and played with all day long, I just wish I could be doing it. I know this is a huge commitment for her and I can't thank her enough for giving up 3 months to take care of him. I know she is loving every second of it, but still, babies are so time consuming! I get pictures of him throughout the day so I still get to see his sweet face while I'm at work. :)
Monday morning was hilarious (once I stopped sobbing, of course!) The kids had the funniest things to say about me not being pregnant any more. All I can say is that they are definitely good for my ego!! Ha! "You're so skinny, Mrs. Fant" never gets old. :) My favorite comment:
Boy: (first time to see me) "WHOA!! Mrs. Fant, your baby made you tall"!!
Me: "Oh really, why do you think that?"
Boy: "Well, maybe because you're not so wide anymore that you look so much taller!"
Kids crack me up!!
I definitely will be rushing home from school everyday to kiss his little face!
And I am already counting down the days until summer!!
Happy 3 months, sweet boy!!
