Then comes marriage.
Then comes a baby in a baby carriage!!!!
It's true! Micahel and I are expecting a very very special Christmas present this year! A Christmas presnt due December 21st to be exact! How perfect!! We found out last month and have had to keep it a secret until Mother's Day when we told our famlies. It has been a really exciting past month just trying to soak it all in.
We weren't planning to start a family until next summer, but as you might have read, God had other amazing and unexpected plans for our lives! We have looked back at our lives during the past several weeks and it's just unbelievable how God has placed this all together so perfectly. You can't do anything but praise Him for everything He has done!
One small but huge example: If you know me at all, you know my love and "slight" addiction for coffee. :) I can easily (and often did) drink 10 cups a day. At the beginning of the year, Michael decided he was going to give up caffeine and every week or so asked if I would do it with him. I forcefully and repeatedly said "No way Jose!!" Well, one random week at the beginning of March I actually decided to give it a try. I had 2 cups for a week, then one cup the whole next week and then daringly tried to give it up completely the next week. I felt totally fine, no headache or anything, so I decided to keep it up. Three weeks later I found out I was pregnant. Little did I know that God had been preparing my body the whole entire time! God is so Good!
We had our first ultrasound May 6th and saw our precious little baby's heart beat! Everything looks wonderful right now. We get to go back in about 9 weeks for another one to find out if it's a boy or girl and I can't wait!! I have actually felt surprisingly well and really have had no typical symptoms of being pregnant. I actually doubted that I was pregnant for a couple weeks even though I had 5 positive at home tests and a positive blood test because of my lack of symptoms!!!
We got to tell both of our families over Mother's day weekend. We had been waiting SO long to tell them that when the time finally came, I was shaking with excitement! Michael's parents came over Saturday night for a Mother's Day dinner and we told them right before we sat down. We gave her a Mother's Day card that said "Hi Grandma." This is what happened next...
The next day was my parent's turn. We had lunch and then did the typical Mother's Day celebration with my family. Right as she was finishing with presents and cards, I pulled ours out and gave it to her.
Congrats girl! I am so excited for ya'll! Being a parent is such a rewarding experience! I wish you the best in your pregnancy and will be praying for baby Fant! It looks like he/she will be born around Rory's birthday! How fun!
