Jen's Shower Take Two

Jen was showered with love and presents last weekend at the Dallas Athletic Club. We all had fun celebrating her wedding (which is coming up SO soon!!).

Yummy food

Steph and I gave her a pretty untraditional present. I got the idea from Katy a while back. It was so much fun :) We wrote her a letter and had corresponding items we pulled out of the bucket as we said them. Here's the letter:

Dear Jennifer,

We gather together with you to celebrate the DAWN of a new era. Marriage is a journey. Some days it will be pure JOY, but
let's take a moment to talk about the others.

There may come a time when you realize your big BRAWNY guy isn't necessarily MR. CLEAN. When this and other little glitches occur, don't SHOUT at each other. Try to RESOLVE it without it going KABOOM. Go easy on him, he’s a man, not FAULTLESS. Hopefully the TIDE will change quickly, and things will BOUNCE back to normal.

We think you and Brandon are a FANTASTIK couple with an XTREME love for life and a sincere appreciation for each other. We praise the Lord that you have found you soul mate and anxiously await the day you and Brandon PLEDGE to spend your lives as one.

Just a word of warning, Brandon will be BEGGIN’ for more than just a little SNUGGLE for quite awhile after the wedding. ;)

We wish you all the best... including love, happiness and lots of time to SNICKER at all the fun and silly memories you will make as husband and wife.

Love You,

Kristin and Stephanie

Walk for Honduras

My dad has been going on a medical mission trip to Honduras for several years now. My mom has gone with him a couple years and this past year Steph went, too. The team of doctors do so much for the sweet people in Catacamas. Some of the people literally walk for days to come to the free clinic. I love to hear the stories my dad comes back with, but it's heart breaking at the same time. Some of the treatment the people need costs so little (like $20) but they are so so poor that even if they saved for years, they would never be able to afford it.

To help raise money for the clinics, Prednisan, the company the doctors go with, had a "Walk for Honduras" fundraiser. The next trip is in February, so I'm excited to hear all the wonderful things that happened. :)

Table Dancing

Ok, more like table crawling. :) Bryson has mastered the art of climbing up on the table all by himself. Last week, he used his chair to climb on the table, but now it's not even necessary! EEK!

AND he's started taking multiple steps at a time before sitting down!!

No fear, that's his motto!

10 Months!

Oh man, my baby is 10 months (and 2 days) old!! I love love this stage with him. This month wins for "absolute most fun with Bryson" month!!

Bryson is the happiest, giggliest, silliest boy :)

His  loves:

playing chase
giving  high low fives
motioning "come here" with his hand for everything he wants or wants to touch
cheering on the Rangers!!

signing "more" (only a few times)
saying Dada (PLEASE say Mama sooon!)
saying Dah when he sees Orion
crawling around at warp speed
walking around and between furniture
playing outside
climbing on everything...
geting bruises because he climbs on everything
riding in his big boy car seat
figuring out how to turn his toys on-he's pretty smart!
playing basketball (putting a ball into a toy ring. So cute!)
squeeling loudly
pat-patting every thing
puffs and cheerios
waving at himself in the mirror
bath time and splashing in the water
watching Praise Baby from under the coffee table
giving kisses, even to himself in the mirror :)
opening and closing doors or cabinets. or Orion's crate door ;)
walking

taking his first unassisted steps
sleeping on a pillow (ah, I love it!!)
his mommy!
He's the biggest mama's boy, but looooves his daddy!!
chilling in his chair

driving ;)

His dislikes:

going to sleep- he would SO much rather play!
table food
Orion eating his "Bryson Punkin"

diaper changes
super noisy places
sun in his eyes

when we take cords or paper out away
having ear infections
(thankfully, this list is short!! :))

I can't believe time is flying by so quickly.
I can't believe my baby is 10 months old.
And I certainly can't believe we are already planning his first birthday party!!
Michael and I are loving every single second with our sweet boy. We love him more than anything in this world!

Happy 10 months, Bryson!!

Christmas in October

I LOVE Christmas. Love it! Like, if I wasn't already married to Michael, I would probably marry it. :)
I love everything about Christmas time. Every year, I beg Michael to let me leave the Christmas decorations up a little longer. I would be perfectly happy skipping Halloween and Thanksgiving and just celebrating Christmas for 3 months. Perfectly happy!

Last year, I bought some Christmas jammies for Bryson thinking that he would be able to wear them in December, but he is so tall already that he is fitting into 12 month jammies. So, we are having a little Christmas in the Fant house early! :)

Happy early Christmas!! :)

Today

Bryson and I spent a lot of time playing out side. Bryson LOVES to be outside, but he hates the grass. Silly boy :)

Yep, he ate dirt :)

Then, we went inside. Bryson started walking around the coffee table and proceeded to climb up on his "Little Lamb" chair ONTO the coffee table!! Kid, you are crazy! I moved his chair  further away from the table and he still kept trying to pull himself up to get on the table. Seriously, can't take my eyes off him for .349587 of a  second!!

We could tell B wasn't feeling 100% the past several days, but just figured it was because he's pretty snotty and congested. Well, Michael took him to the doctor yesterday and it turns out he has a double ear infection. Poor baby. Apparently he has a super high pain tolerance to put up with that for so long without us even knowing!!

Once he finally gets better from feeling crummy, it seems like something else pops up :(
Praying he gets better and stays beter!!

LOOK LOOK LOOK!!!

Look at this kid!! Bryson has been cruising around things for quite a while, but did something brand new tonight...He took his first steps with the walker tonght!!!!  I immediately ran and got the camera. :)

Ahh! Walking! Such a BIG boy!!!

This is about 4 seconds after he took his first steps... (sorry for the high pitch-ness. Yep, I'm pretty thrilled:!!)

This is about 5 minutes later (after pacing this looong hallway about 20 times.)

Pretty sure there's no stopping him now!! ;)

Bryson's New Bed

We were playing in the living room yesterday and I looked over and couldn't see Bryson. My heart stopped for what seemed like an hour and then I heard him talking. This is where I found him!!!!!

Michael and I are constantly laughing at our silly boy!! :)

Climby McClimberson

I feel like our entire house needs to be padded with bubble wrap. Bryson is all over everything. If there is any possible way to climb on/through/under/between/or over anything, Bryson will do it! Here is a little of what our life looks like these days:

These are only the pictures I was able to run and get my camera during. Sometimes I just have to get him to safe ground-HA! Like, for example, the other day, Bryson crawled into the bathroom and stood up next to the tub. He lifted his foot and started bouncing like he wanted to take a bath. I kinda giggled a bit and then picked up the towels. 2 seconds later, he had climbed over the tub and had face planted into the tub. Poor baby!

I can only imagine how crazy he is going to get when he is fully and completely mobile.

A Day With Big Tex

Bryson took his first trip to the State Fair of Texas on Sunday. Michael and I had actually gone with my sisters and Brandon on opening day for a few hourse, but this time we brought B along for the ride. We went with the Zellner's after church on Sunday and had a blast! We always have so much fun with them!!
We did a ton of walking, a TON of eating and a ton of chatting :)

Bryson was fantastic all day!! I was so excited. I think he had fun "people watching".
He got to see Big Tex,

a dog show, millions of people eating fried food and some ridiculously talented African Acrobats. Look at the guy doing the limbo. LOOK at him!! Is that even possible!!??

We also went to the petting zoo before one of the shows. We were SOO close to touching the giraffe (ah, I love giraffes!!) but he turned his head right as I was pulling Bryson's hand up. Darn. :)

The fair pooped him out and he had to take a quick nap to keep up his energy :)

We had so much fun and can't wait to go back next year. :)
