4 Months!

Ok, my friends. I'm making myself sit down and finish this post while it's still April. :)

Bryson is another month older! Happy 4 months sweet boy!! I can't believe it. It feels like time is flying by so quickly.

We went to the doctor this week for his 4 month check up and he is just a perfectly happy and healthy little boy!! His stats:
Weight: 14.10 lbs (75%)
Length: 26 1/4inches (90%)
Head: 16.5 inches (50%)
While we were there, his doctor mentioned, more than once, that he was developmentally advanced. I mean, we've always known that :), but it's so exciting to hear that from his doctor. And, I'm pretty sure I heard him say that Bryson is the best baby he's seen in all his years of seeing babies. Ok, fine, maybe he didn't exactly say it, but I know he sure was thinking it! ;)
Also, while we were at the office, Bryson rolled over to the left from laying on his back! He's been rolling over from his back for almost a month, but only to the right. Now he rolls both ways :)

He is such a strong little boy. He's trying to sit up on his own. Especially in his car seat. When he gets into the sitting position, he makes himself stand up. He loves to stand! He even took a few steps! Well, kind of. :)

Everything in sight goes in his mouth: toys, fingers, other people's fingers, toes, bibs, everything.
Shortly after he turned 3 months, we busted out the Jumperoo. He wasn't quite long enough to reach the floor so we had to improvise and stick a pillow on the floor so he could bounce off. He loves it! He gets so excited when he's in the jumper. The music starts playing and the lights come on and he bounces like a mad man.

Ever since he started rolling over about a month ago, he's been an awesome sleeper! He used to wake up at least once, sometimes twice in the middle of the night, but now, he's aweome. It's so nice to sleep straight through the night :)
He used to sleep on his back with his hands up touching the back of his head, in what we called "the sexy man pose." Now, he sleeps in his "froggy" pose with his hands under his tummy and his bottom high in the air. :) (Isn't that an awesome bald spot!?)

I am definitely counting down until school is over. (19 1/2 days left!!) I can't wait to be home with Bryson all day. It's SO hard being away from him. BUT my mom still sends me several pictures everyday so I can see my little bug all day :) She is so wonderful with him and he loves her like crazy! He just lights up when he hears Mimi's voice. While I'm counting down until Summer, she's hoping it doesn't come quite as quickly. She has Bryson withdrawls over the weekends...Summer will be torture! :) She has also completely spoiled me. I haven't cooked in over 2 weeks, but we've still had homecooked meals everynight. She just happens to make too much food for dinner or just happens to have leftovers that she "has to get out of the fridge." No complaints here, though! That's just extra time that we get to spend playing with Bryson before bed time without having to worry about cooking dinner. Yep, I'm totally spoiled :)

A few 4 month notes:
He's wearing 3-6 month clothes, and 6-9 month onsies
Size 1-2 diapers, but they're getting a little snug
sleeps from 8-8, but I feed him at 6 when I get to my parent's house so he'll go back to sleep after the car ride.
Eats about 4.5 oz 3 times a day and then nurses 3 times a day. I'm definitely looking forward to Summer- especially because I won't have to pump as much! Hooray!
He is super happy in the morning and looves to play and talk. He's really finding his voice:)

He is such a fun and easy baby. We are so so blessed to be Bryson's parents and we love him like crazy!
Happy 4 months, Sweet Boy!!

Ah Geez....

I'm so behind on blogging...on everything.

I promise to have Bryson's 4 month update posted soon! I started writing it last week because I knew this would happen. At this rate I might as well start writing his 5 month post in hopes that it will be up on time. Ha!

Maybe I can persuade you to not hold a grudge against me for the lack of updates if I leave you with some pictures of sweet little Bryson while I go prepare myself (by going to sleep super early) for TAKS this week. Blah...

Four Generations

Michael's cousin, Jordan, is getting married this weekend in Vegas and since only a few people are going, they had a pre-wedding reception on Saturday to Celebrate.

While we were there, we finally got a picture of 4 generations of the Fant men. So special!

He also got some lovin' from Papa & Granny :)

Beau & Rebecca are Married!

Michael's sister, Rebecca, and Beau got married 2 Saturdays ago and she was absolutely stunning! I couldn't be more excited for them!

We had a fun wedding filled weekend that started with a Bridesmaid Brunch at the Fant's house. We had so much fun and the food was delicious! Bryson even got to join in on the fun :)

Piper, the flower girl, decided that she was a princess at one point while we were eating and I told her that Uncle John loves to dance with princesses, so that danced a little Waltz in the kitchen. SOO precious!!!

Then, we went to the rehersal and rehersal dinner. It was at a cute little restaurant called The Garden Cafe. I should have gotten pictures at the rehersal, but it somehow slipped my mind. :)

Saturday was THE day!! Seriously, Rebecca was so beautiful!!

The bride and her sisters-in-law :)

Rebecca was putting make up on and Piper decided that she needed some too!

I love me some Piper!

Alicia and I at the reception

Bryson had a rough night. It was way past his bedtime and he just didn't want to go to sleep. My parents were so wonderful and took him back to the house so he could finally go to sleep :)

Everything about the whole weekend was just wonderful! I am so so excited for them to start their lives as a married couple. It's just more fun being married :) We love them so much!
Oh, and, Bryson finally has an official Uncle! Thanks Beau! He needed one of those :)

***I would have blogged about this earlier, but, well.... I sat down to download the pictures early last week and realized I couldn't find our camera anywhere. After much searching, I finally realized the last place I had seen it was Michael's tux pocket, where he kept it for me at the wedding. Well, he ended up returning his tux with the camera still in there! Fortunately, the guys at the store are really nice and honest and kept it for me until I could get up there to pick it up. Phew!

Easter!

We had such a fun Easter! Bryson enjoyed every second of it!

Bryson woke up to a little gift the Easter Bunny brought him :) I can't believe next year he'll be able to run around (aahh!) and hunt Easter eggs and have even more fun than this year.

We went to church with Michael's family Sunday morning and he was perfect the entire time! Mama Mel held him and he just smiled at everyone and was so happy! The church had the entire stage completely covered in fresh, beautiful flowers! We went down to take pictures in front of the flowers and about a minute later, the band stepped up, so we only got a few. :)

We went over to their house for a delicious lunch after church. Bryson got some more goodies from the Easter Bunny! He also got the cutest monkey blanket...you'll see it in future floor time pictures :)

We all had so much fun that it wore a few of us out. They had a nice little Sunday afternoon nap together. It was soo sweet! :)

We went over to my parent's house that evening and got to see more family. The Easter Bunny came yet again and brought him a fun swim shirt for the Summer. :)

Papa was singing to him (you can't really hear it in the video) and he decided it was time to roll over :) He has become a huge fan of rolling since he figured out how to do it 3 days ago! I put him down to sleep on his back and he pretty much always sleeps on his side or tummy now. :)

For the past few weeks, Michael and I have been reading Bryson the Easter story.

You know, Easter has always been a very emotional time of reflection and thankfulness; knowing that Jesus died for me. That he had to die a terrible death for us. But it is also a time of wonderful praise that He rose again! This year, however, it has been emotional from a different viewpoint. I have always known that Mary was there with Jesus on Golgotha, but I never really grasped the pain and misery she must have been going though watching her son on the cross. I was reading the Easter book to Bryson and at one point I said, "and there's Mary. That's Jesus' mom next to him. She's so sad...." and I completely lost it. I was sobbing and immediately stopped and prayed with him. I just can't even fathom losing Bryson like Mary had to.
I am just so grateful that Jesus is my Savior!! :)

Happy Easter!!!
